Established in 1997, the Macau Institute of Development and Quality is a non-profit engineering science and technology organization. The purpose of the establishment is to closely cooperate with the development of the Macao Special Administrative Region, and to provide a full range of services for research, testing, training, and quality of engineering projects.

The Macau Institute of Development and Quality is composed of seven members, from institutions of higher learning, technical organizations, government departments in Macau, and non-profit scientific and technological organizations in Portugal, and is led by the University of Macau. Therefore, the Institute is extremely independent and professional. Very solid technical force.
